Given that,
Star + Circle = 12----eqn1
Star - Circle = 4------eqn2

add eqn 1 and 2
we will get
2 x star = 16 => star =8
on putting value of star in eqn 1 or eqn 2 we get circle = 4

hence star x circle = 8 x 4 = 32
